My Review:

I received the Nursery Fresh Diaper Pail Refill bags from Munchkin right after I had bought a box of the Diaper Genie refills by Playtex.  I couldn't wait to compare and test out the Nursery Fresh bags!

I paid $19.99 for the Playtex Diaper Genie Refills at Buy Buy Baby.  That box contained 3 refills and would hold approximately 810 diapers.   The box of refills I received from Munchkin has 4 refills and will hold approximately 1088 diapers.   Munchkin's website has the 4 pack of refills listed for the same price,  $19.99.

I took out one refill from each box to compare them.  They are pretty close to the same size.  The Nursery Fresh refill claims to hold 2 more diapers than the Diaper Genie Refill and boasts 7 layered film compared to the 5 layered of the Diaper Genie refill.

Now to test them out!   They work pretty much the exact same way as the official Diaper Genie Bags.  Quick and easy installation. 

They fit perfectly into the Diaper Genie.

So, the bags fit perfectly, you get more for your money, and I see absolutely NO difference.  If anything, they are better because of the extra layers of film.  We all know that babies are expensive.   I am all about looking for deals and better prices for ALL things baby related.  If you stumble upon me in the baby aisle at my local store you will see me with my calculator out figuring out what item is the best deal for my money.  I am currently unemployed so every PENNY I can save is huge!   I am very impressed with these bags and super happy at the price point.  According to the numbers you are getting space for 278 MORE diapers for the same exact price.  More for your money and a great product!

My Review!

Baby V absolutely LOVES bath time!  I think he is part fish!

I love this bath toy!  It is so simple to put together.  You just slide the net onto the backboard and it clicks right in.  Stick the suction cups to the tub and off you go!

Baby V was dunking in no time!  The fish also squirt water – which is a lot of fun!

When you are done you pull the drawstring closed and it stores the fish while they air dry!

Okiedog, US - Urban Genie Diaper Bag Review and Discount!

I have been looking into smaller diaper bags now that my son is older and I don't need to carry quite as much. I contacted Okiedog about their diaper bags and they sent me the Urban Genie to try out. This particular bag is available in Red and Black - I chose RED!

Now, for my review and my personal pictures!

I absolutely love the way this bag looks.  It doesn't look like a diaper bag at all!  It is a small messenger bag.  I am totally going to use it as a purse when I don't need a diaper bag anymore! It has an easy adjustable strap that is sturdy but soft - doesn't cut into your skin when you are carrying it. 

It has a great inner compartment that has two elastic band pockets.  So far I have thrown my wallet in there, a sippy cup, and even a spare outfit for baby V.

There is a front pocket to hold your cell phone and even comes with a clip to hold your keys.  LOVE this!  You don't have to dig around and search for your phone or your keys. PERFECT!

Here is a picture of it full of Baby V's Gear.  I have 3 diapers, wipes, an outfit, a sippy cup, my cell phone, and keys in it!

Let me just tell you - I LOVE THIS BAG!  The material is sturdy but fashionable and wipes clean easily.  There is also a nice back pocket that you can't see from my pictures.  I threw a receiving blanket in that pocket to use to as a make shift changing pad.  That would be my one and only suggestion regarding this bag - I would love for it to have a super thin, removable changing pad.  BUT, like I said a small receiving blanket works perfectly!!

Here is Baby Daddy ;-) Rocking the Urban Genie on the Ocean City, Maryland Boardwalk a couple weeks ago. He really likes it!

NOW FOR MY PERSONAL REVIEW!

I need to start by telling you that my son is a year old and 24 lbs.  SO, I cannot speak to the infant insert part of the seat.  I am rear facing my son as long as possible.  We installed the seat rear facing using the latch system.   It was fairly easy to do.  My only complaint would be that my car seats are very slanted so I had to roll a towel up and put it under the seat to make it level.  I will say that is one thing I loved about my infant seat.  It had a part that dropped down to make the seat level and I didn't have to use a towel.

The shell isn't overly large.  I actually went to Babies R' Us to try the fit before I decided on which seat I wanted.  I drive an older fairly small sedan and it fits in there perfectly!  Very impressed with the size. It is nicely padded and the fabric is sturdy but comfortable.

My son was super excited when I moved him into this seat.  He was in an infant seat prior.  He has plenty of room.  

I absolutely love this seat.  I will say I have a little difficulty with the tension knobs.  I have pregnancy induced carpal tunnel and the days when my hands are really bothering me I have a hard time tightening the seat.  The knobs are also a little snug because my car is so small.  I have found that if I don't loosen the seat too much when taking my son out I have no issues. 

I also love that you can remove the cover without having to rethread theharness and straps!

One thing I would suggest to Evenflo is to have the leveling arrow easier to find, either with a sticker or have the arrow be a different color.  Once the seat was in the car it was difficult to locate the arrow because it was the same color as the base of the seat.

The straps have a slide feature for a great fit!  Great feature!

Baby V got to try out The Nûby™ No-Spill™ Insulated Cool Sipper this week! Currently he is addicted to Nuby's straw cups so I was curious how he would do with it. I have been trying to teach him how to use a regular sippy the last week or so but he's been pretty resistant! 

Remember, this cup is for 18+ months and baby V is only 13.5 months old.  He seemed to really like the spout of this cup.  I really like the fact that the spout is SUPER soft.  He's got some brand new teeth and I hate the sound of them bumping against a hard sippy cup spout!  It seems to be very durable as baby V chewed on the spot a good bit!

Baby V drank well out of this cup with a little assistance.  Like I said before, he doesn't realize he needs to tip the cup up to get a drink.  He is so used to using straws! I think mom's that are trying to transition their little ones to a regular cup are really going to like this cup!  The spout is extra wide and seems to simulate what a regular cup would feel like against the child's lips - but without a big mess!
